 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  CBN Maintains Interest Rate at 27.5%


The Central Bank of Nigeria has retained the Monetary Policy Rate at 27.5%, following its 301st MPC meeting in Abuja. CBN Governor Olayemi Cardoso said the decision was unanimous amid easing inflation, now at 22.22%.


The MPC also kept the Cash Reserve Ratio at 50% for commercial banks and 16% for merchant banks, with the liquidity ratio at 30% and the asymmetric corridor at +500/-100 basis points.


This marks the third consecutive hold after February and May meetings, despite earlier expectations of a rate cut by analysts and manufacturers.
