 KADIRS Warns Residents Against Fake Revenue Collectors, Introduces E-Demand Notice As Sole Payment Authorization The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) has cautioned taxpayers and residents of Kaduna State against making revenue payments without first obtaining an official E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice), warning that fraudsters may exploit outdated payment processes to defraud the public. In a public announcement issued on Thursday, KADIRS said the move forms part of its ongoing efforts to automate revenue collection and enhance transparency across the state.  The agency disclosed that manual demand notices previously used for Local Government revenue collection have been phased out and are no longer recognized. According to KADIRS, the E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice) has officially replaced the former Local Government Harmonized Demand Notice and is now the only valid document for on-the-spot taxpayer assessment through the state's Central Billing System.  DSS, ARMY RESCUE CATHOLIC PRIEST KIDNAPPED IN MAIDUGURI


DSS operatives and military troops rescued a Catholic priest who was abducted by Boko Haram terrorists in Maiduguri, Bornu State, on June 1, 2025.


Reverend Father Alphonsus Afina and 10 women were kidnapped by the insurgents while travelling from Adamawa to Bornu State. 


The Catholic Bishop of Maiduguri Diocese and Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Borno State, Most Rev. John Bakeni, praised the DSS and military officers for their gallantry in rescuing the hostages. 


Reverend Father Afina served in the Archdiocese of Anchorage in Alaska in the United States from 2017 until 2024.
