 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity. EFCC BUSTS YAHOO ACADEMY, ARRESTS 23 SUSPECTS IN ABIA STATE.(PHOTO). #PRESS RELEASE.

 EFCC Busts Yahoo Academy,  Arrests 23 Suspects in Abia State.


Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, Uyo Zonal Directorate, on Friday, July 18, 2025, uncovered a cybercrimes training centre  known as 'yahoo-yahoo Hustle Kingdom' at Umuahia in Abia State, and arrested eight suspected trainees undergoing training and fifteen others. 


The arrested trainees are: Toona Henry, Tavershima Solomon, Chi Orseer James, Ubee Benjamin, Gabriel Ibe Ifeanyi, Tindue Godwin, Muhammed Terwase Micheal, and Destiny Andrew.


Others are: Okezie Almond, Precious Osmond, Kenneth Prospect, Iweobi Chika Augustine, Nedolisa Victor, Kanu Austin, Anolu David, Collins Chinedu, Joshua Nnamdi, Ogechi Chibuzor, Michael Chinonso, Prince Chigozie, Festus Nwogu, Michael Lazarus, and Kingsley Ndubuisi.


The trainees were arrested at the training centre located at Doofco Palace building, behind Government College Umuahia,  on credible intelligence, while others were arrested at Umudike, Ahiaeke, and Umugu,  all in Umuahia, Abia State. 


Items recovered from them include: two cars, 15 laptops and 34 mobile phones, 


 The suspects will soon be charged to court.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
