 Germany and Austria to tap oil reserves after 400 million barrels requested  Germany and Austria announced they are releasing portions of their oil reserves in response to an International Energy Agency request for member nations to collectively release 400 million barrels to help ease rising energy prices linked to the Iran conflict. Japan also said it will begin releasing part of its reserves starting Monday. The move marks one of the largest coordinated releases of emergency oil stocks in history. The previous record came in 2022, when IEA members released 182.7 million barrels following the energy disruptions caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Member countries currently hold over 1.2 billion barrels of public emergency oil stocks, along with an additional 600 million barrels of industry stocks maintained under government requirements.  FAME IS BORING - VICTOR OSIMHEN 


Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has revealed that fame is boring and that he is not able to do the things he grew up doing on account of his global fame. 


The 26-year-old Galatasaray top-scorer he couldn't walk the streets privately anywhere in the world as he used to do in the streets of Lagos, adding fame comes with a price. 


“Fame is boring," he stated. "Sometimes you want to go outside, and you cannot do a lot of things. I just like to be around everyday people. I just like to stay close to them. This is how I was born, so for me, it’s just natural.”


He disclosed that he's able to do most things in the public under the watchful eyes of armed security now. 


“If I have my security and they are strapped, for me, I’m good. I can be among these people. I don’t care. This is my life. This is how I live,” he said.
