  Chikun/Kajuru Rep, Hon. Fidelix Bagudu, Announces New Appointments To Strengthen Inclusive Governance The Honourable Member representing the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency, Hon. Fidelix Joseph Bagudu, has announced a wide-ranging list of new appointments aimed at deepening inclusive governance and enhancing representation across the constituency. The appointments, which take immediate effect, were unveiled in alignment with Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani’s commitment to participatory governance. According to the lawmaker’s office, the list reflects deliberate efforts to ensure fair representation of all wards, communities, and interest groups across Chikun and Kajuru Local Government Areas (LGAs). A statement issued by the Media and Publicity Directorate noted that the move also fulfills the Honourable Member’s campaign pledge to integrate every segment of the constituency into the decision-making and governance structure.  FG suspends recruitment into paramilitary agencies till July 21


The Federal Government has suspended its recruitment process into its paramilitary agencies such as the Nigeria Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and Nigerian Correctional Service.


In a statement dated July 16, 2025, the Secretary to the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services, Maj-Gen A.M. Jibril (rtd), said the application portal would be reopened on Monday, July 21, 2025. “As part of an effort to optimize the efficiency of its system, the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) announces that the portal dedicated to the recruitment into its paramilitary agencies has been temporarily suspended.


“The portal will be available again from Monday, July 21st, 2025,” Jibril stated. The Board secretary explained that the suspension would help ensure the system can efficiently handle the high volume of applications and allow for a smooth, transparent, and fair recruitment process. “This development will ensure that the portal accommodates the high volume of applications while guaranteeing a smooth, transparent, and fair recruitment process.


“We appreciate the enthusiasm and interest of young Nigerians to serve their country through these vital agencies and are committed to ensuring a fair and transparent recruitment process,” he added.
