 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  FORMER GOV. RASHIDI LADOJA SCHEDULED TO BE CROWNED NEW OLUBADAN


Following the unforseen death of the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, on Monday morning, former Governor Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, 81, is billed to become the next Olubadan. 


The 43rd Olubadan, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, joined his ancestors on Monday, July 7, 2025, two days after celebrating his 90th birthday. He was crowned king in July 2024 by Gov. Seyi Makinde.


Oba Dr. Mohood Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II, who died in March 2024, was the Olubadan of Ibadan before the ascension of Olakulehin.


High Chief Ladoja of the Egbe Agbe Ruling House is next in line to the ancient throne of Ibadanland. He was crowned the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland in August 2024 by Oba Olakulehin.


Ladoja was a former senator and governor of Oyo State between 2003 and 2007.
