 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity.  GUNMEN REPORTEDLY ABDUCTED BENUE COMMUNITY YOUTH LEADER, RAYMOND NAGO ASEMA

In a troubling incident that has sparked widespread concern, a youth leader in Makurdi, Hon. Ambassador Raymond Nago Asema, was reportedly abducted from his residence by unidentified men in uniform believed to be operatives of the Nigeria Police.


The incident, which occurred at approximately 2:30 PM on Monday, was disclosed in a statement issued by Emmanuel Slimchild Shishim, Chief of Staff to the youth leader.


 According to the statement, Hon. Asema was trailed and forcefully taken away shortly after returning to his home. The men did not disclose their identities or reveal the destination to which the youth leader was being taken.


As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official statement from the Nigeria Police Force or any relevant security agency confirming or denying involvement in the incident.


The development has generated anxiety among the youth population in Benue State, many of whom view Hon. Asema as a strong voice for their interests.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
