 Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti, OFR, has approved 100 hectares of land within the Abia Airport Project Site for the Nigerian Air Force to build its training base in Abia State. The Nigeria Air Force had requested an expansion of the 50 hectares of land already earmarked for its training base at the Abia Airport Project Site.  Governor Otti gave the approval on Tuesday, March 10th, in his office while receiving a delegation of the Nigeria Air Force (NAF), Ground Training Command led by the Commander, Air Vice Marshal Adebayo Gabriel Kehinde, who called on him. "The partnership is such that Abia State Government is handling the runway, and the Federal Government is handling the Airport Terminal.  "We expect the runway to be ready very soon.  “How Is This Even Okay?” – Mercy Johnson Questions Ghanaian TV Station for Airing Her New Movie Without Consent


Nollywood actress  Mercy Johnson is the next filmmaker to lash out at a Ghanaian-based television station on social media. 


She took to the internet to express her dissatisfaction after the TV station, Blazing TV, aired her latest movie, The Firstborn, which premiered on Thursday, July 18, 2025. 


Addressing her frustration on her Facebook page, the actress criticized the television station for airing her movie without her consent.


She noticed that a fan took a photo as the television network that aired the movie on their channel downloaded it from her YouTube channel. 


Mercy Johnson questioned why a media house would air her newly released movie without permission. 


In a post the social media post, she wrote,   "GHANA BLAZING TV. How is this even ok? BLAZING TV in Ghana is showing my movie THE FIRSTBORN on their TV without my consent. How does this even make sense? How?"
