 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.  Hulk Hogan Is Dead


Hulk Hogan (born Terry Gene Bollea) passed away on July 24, 2025, at the age of 71. According to multiple reports, including TMZ, he suffered a cardiac arrest at his Clearwater, Florida home and was declared dead after emergency responders were called to the scene.


He had recently undergone neck surgery, and while there were rumours he was critically ill, his wife and representatives had reaffirmed his health status just weeks before his passing  .


A legacy beyond the ring


Hogan was a 12‑time world champion, twice inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, and widely credited with spearheading the rise of “Hulkamania” and the 1980s wrestling boom  .


He crossed over into mainstream entertainment with roles in Rocky III, Gremlins 2, and his reality show "Hogan Knows Best".


Later in his life, he co-founded the emerging wrestling promotion Real American Freestyle, where he served as commissioner  .


His death marks the end of an era in pro-wrestling. May his soul rest in peace
