 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results.  Hulk Hogan Is Dead


Hulk Hogan (born Terry Gene Bollea) passed away on July 24, 2025, at the age of 71. According to multiple reports, including TMZ, he suffered a cardiac arrest at his Clearwater, Florida home and was declared dead after emergency responders were called to the scene.


He had recently undergone neck surgery, and while there were rumours he was critically ill, his wife and representatives had reaffirmed his health status just weeks before his passing  .


A legacy beyond the ring


Hogan was a 12‑time world champion, twice inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, and widely credited with spearheading the rise of “Hulkamania” and the 1980s wrestling boom  .


He crossed over into mainstream entertainment with roles in Rocky III, Gremlins 2, and his reality show "Hogan Knows Best".


Later in his life, he co-founded the emerging wrestling promotion Real American Freestyle, where he served as commissioner  .


His death marks the end of an era in pro-wrestling. May his soul rest in peace
