 UNACCEPTABLE – GOV. ALIA BLASTS MBALOM KILLINGS, ASSURES JUSTICE FOR VICTIMS  Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has condemned the latest attack on Mbalom community in Gwer East Local Government Area, describing it as barbaric and unacceptable, while assuring residents of intensified efforts to protect lives and property. In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, the governor reacted to reports of an assault by suspected armed herdsmen on the community, an incident that adds to recurring security concerns in parts of the state. Alia said the attack represents a direct threat to the peace and security of Benue, noting a disturbing pattern of what he described as calculated and selective assaults.  ‎Igbo Speaking Community Asks Ndigbo To Support APC In Lagos Local Government Election

‎The President of Igbo Speaking Community, Lagos State, Chief Sunday Udeh, has called on the APC to accommodate Ndigbo in governance as he asks Ndigbo to support the ruling party in the Local Government election coming up on 12th July, 2025.

‎Chief Udeh stated this  during the unveiling of the multimillion Naira befitting secretariat built by the members of Igbo Buru Otu Association of Nigeria led by Eze Chika Nwokedi in Lagos State.

‎Chief Udeh, who was the Special Guest of Honour at the event, noted that there was need for Ndigbo to work in synergy with the ruling APC in Lagos State. He however, also said that the leadership of the party shouldacknowledge

the support by giving appointments to Ndigbo in the Local Government areas to build strong support in the local areas.

‎He also stated that the population of Ndigbo in Lagos State, which put to about 45 per cent, was enough for the ruling party not to neglect Ndigbo. He urged the ruling party to close the gap and accommodate Ndigbo the more in the State for greater working relationship in the future.
