India’s PM Modi Visits Ghana to Boost Bilateral Ties

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Ghana on Wednesday, marking the first visit by an Indian leader in nearly 30 years. He is set to hold trade talks with President John Mahama, address parliament, and meet the Indian community in Accra.

The visit aims to deepen economic ties, with bilateral trade reaching $3.1 billion in 2024–2025. Modi’s Africa-Caribbean-South America tour includes stops in Trinidad and Tobago, Argentina, Brazil (for the July 6–7 BRICS summit), and Namibia.
