 A popular content creator has died from surgery complication     Esther Thomas, popularly known as Sunshine, was a Nigerian content creator, skit maker, and brand influencer. She died on Friday, 9 January 2026, after complications from fibroid surgery. She had been complaining of serious stomach pain from late December 2025.     Sunshine was first admitted at Orchid General Hospital in Lagos, where her friends said she was only given pain relief drugs because doctors were on strike. Her condition did not improve, so she was moved to another hospital on 2 January 2026, where tests showed she had a large fibroid and surgery was carried out. She later developed complications and died. After her death, friends blamed Orchid General Hospital online, saying she was neglected and did not receive proper treatment early enough.  Iyabo Ojo’s N1bn suit against me dismissed – Lizzy Anjorin


Actress Lizzy Anjorin is celebrating after a Lagos court reportedly dismissed the N1 billion defamation lawsuit filed against her by colleague Iyabo Ojo.

The lawsuit stemmed from a public spat between the two actresses, which began when Iyabo Ojo shared a humorous video mimicking Lizzy Anjorin.

Lizzy took offense and retaliated by revealing intimate details about Iyabo, accusing her of vile things.

Iyabo demanded a public apology and N500 million in compensation, later filing a N1 billion defamation lawsuit when Lizzy didn’t comply.

Despite Lizzy’s initial absence from court proceedings, which led to court summons being pasted on her residence, the case moved forward.

The court’s dismissal of the lawsuit marks the latest development in the ongoing feud between the two actresses.

Lizzy Anjorin shared the news on her Instagram page. 

She wrote: “BREAKING NEWS !!! IYABO OJO 1 BILLION NAIRA LAW SUIT CASE AGAINST LIZZYANJORIN DISMISSED!!!”.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
