 Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti, OFR, has approved 100 hectares of land within the Abia Airport Project Site for the Nigerian Air Force to build its training base in Abia State. The Nigeria Air Force had requested an expansion of the 50 hectares of land already earmarked for its training base at the Abia Airport Project Site.  Governor Otti gave the approval on Tuesday, March 10th, in his office while receiving a delegation of the Nigeria Air Force (NAF), Ground Training Command led by the Commander, Air Vice Marshal Adebayo Gabriel Kehinde, who called on him. "The partnership is such that Abia State Government is handling the runway, and the Federal Government is handling the Airport Terminal.  "We expect the runway to be ready very soon.  The Lagos State Wastewater Management Office (LSWMO) on Saturday 5th July, 2025, sealed-off Global International College, Salem, Street, Ikate-Elegushi, Lekki, Eti-Osa, for deliberately discharging untreated feacal sludge and wastewater into the public drains via a pumping machine thereby causing public nuisance, pollution and endangering human life.


The school had failed to desist from this act even after being cautioned by the agency. 


Lagosians are enjoined to embrace proper wastewater management and hygiene practices to enhance public health and environmental sustainability.


All environmental nuisance and pollution portends grave dangers to public health and will be met with appropriate sanctions and or prosecution.
