 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence.  In a shocking case of medical negligence from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, a road accident victim reportedly bled to death in the emergency ward of Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial (LLRM) Medical College. The incident has triggered public outrage and demands for accountability.


According to reports, the patient was brought to the hospital in a critical condition but received no medical attention for a prolonged period. Eyewitnesses allege that the on-duty doctors were asleep while the victim lay unattended.


Family members of the deceased claimed that repeated pleas for help went unheard. They also stated that basic emergency protocols were ignored, raising serious questions about the hospital’s functioning and staff conduct.


Authorities have yet to issue an official statement, but the matter has drawn the attention of local health officials. An inquiry is expected, as pressure mounts to take strict action against those responsible.
