 FG MOVES TO CUT EDUCATION COSTS, PROMOTE SUSTAINABILITY WITH REUSABLE TEXTBOOK POLICY The Federal Government of Nigeria has unveiled a comprehensive policy framework aimed at reducing the cost of education for parents, improving learning outcomes, and promoting sustainability in schools through the adoption of reusable, high-quality textbooks and strengthened quality assurance mechanisms. The policy, jointly issued by the Honourable Minister of Education  Dr Maruf Tunji Alausa and the Honourable Minister of State for Education Prof Suiwaba Sai'd, forms part of ongoing reforms to reposition Nigeria’s education sector and ease the financial burden on families. MEDICAL NEGLIGENCE IN INDIA: A ROAD ACCIDENT VICTIM REPORTEDLY BLED TO DEATH IN THE EMERGENCY WARD OF LALA LAJPAT RAI MEMORIAL (LLRM) MEDICAL COLLEGE.(PHOTO).


 In a shocking case of medical negligence from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, a road accident victim reportedly bled to death in the emergency ward of Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial (LLRM) Medical College. The incident has triggered public outrage and demands for accountability.


According to reports, the patient was brought to the hospital in a critical condition but received no medical attention for a prolonged period. Eyewitnesses allege that the on-duty doctors were asleep while the victim lay unattended.


Family members of the deceased claimed that repeated pleas for help went unheard. They also stated that basic emergency protocols were ignored, raising serious questions about the hospital’s functioning and staff conduct.


Authorities have yet to issue an official statement, but the matter has drawn the attention of local health officials. An inquiry is expected, as pressure mounts to take strict action against those responsible.
