 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. The Labour Party has officially flagged off the gubernatorial campaign of Chief George Muoghalu at the All Saints Cathedral, Onitsha, ahead of the November 8 governorship election. His Excellency the former governor of Anambra state and Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi was among the party members that were around for the flag off Campaign.


During his endorsement speech for the labour party governorship candidate for Anambra Election, Obi described Muoghalu as a capable, God-fearing, and people oriented leader with the competence and character needed to transform Anambra State.


Speaking at the flag off, Chief Muoghalu expressed deep gratitude to the Labour Party leadership and Peter Obi for their trust and support, and pledged to lead with the fear of God, uphold the dignity of every citizen, and build a government that listens, responds, and delivers.
