 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service. The Labour Party has officially flagged off the gubernatorial campaign of Chief George Muoghalu at the All Saints Cathedral, Onitsha, ahead of the November 8 governorship election. His Excellency the former governor of Anambra state and Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi was among the party members that were around for the flag off Campaign.


During his endorsement speech for the labour party governorship candidate for Anambra Election, Obi described Muoghalu as a capable, God-fearing, and people oriented leader with the competence and character needed to transform Anambra State.


Speaking at the flag off, Chief Muoghalu expressed deep gratitude to the Labour Party leadership and Peter Obi for their trust and support, and pledged to lead with the fear of God, uphold the dignity of every citizen, and build a government that listens, responds, and delivers.
