 El-Rufai to remain in custody as court adjourns bail application to April 14 Justice Rilwanu Aikawa of a Federal High Court in Kaduna has adjourned the hearing of the bail application filed by former Kaduna State governor, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, to April 14th. The bail application of the former governor came up before the court today. April 1. The court adjourned the case after listening to arguments from both the defence and prosecution  El-Rufai was arraigned by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) on a 10-count charge bordering on alleged conversion of public property and money laundering. He pleaded not guilty to all the charges. The court ordered that he remain in ICPC custody pending the hearing of his bail application on the fixed date. The former governor arrived at the court premises around 9:00 a.m. in a black Hilux vehicle, accompanied by DSS officials.

 NASAWARA: DOMA CHAIRMAN DISTRIBUTES MOTORCYCLES TO SECURITY AGENCIES

The Executive Chairman of Doma Local Government Council in Nasarawa State, Mr. Jonathan Okuba Addra has distributed motorcycles to the Nigerian Police and other security agencies. 


Addra distributed the motorcycles on Monday in a ceremony held at the Council Secretariat in Doma. 


Speaking during the distribution, the Council Chairman commended security agencies for their pivotal role in curbing crimes and reinstated the commitment of his administration to the safety of lives and property. 


He described the event as a significant milestone in their collective pursuit for a safe and secure Doma. 


The dignitaries who attended the event included the Vice Chairman of the area, principal officers and members of the Legislative Arm, representatives of the country's security agencies and some critical stakeholders who commended the Council Chairman for prioritizing the welfare and security of his people.

 How Suspected Phone Snatchers Killed Army Lieutenant In Kaduna  An army officer identified as Lieutenant IM Abubakar has reportedly been hacked to death by a gang that specialises in phone snatching and other crimes. The deceased was killed in the Unguwan Sarki area of Kaduna metropolis during the week. A popular counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, Zagazola Makama disclosed this in a Twitter post. Makama described Abubakar as a talented officer.  He said, “Lt IM Abubakar(Isa) A Young Talented Army Officer Was Killed By Phone Snatchers on His Way Home In Unguwan Sarki, Kaduna. May his soul rest in peace.”
