 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  "NO ONE WILL TAKE YOUR LAND" - BENUE SPEAKER ASSURES YELEWATA IDPs



The Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Hyacinth Aondona Dajoh, has assured victims of the recent Yelewata attacks that no one will take their ancestral land, reaffirming the state government’s commitment to their safe return and resettlement.


Dajoh made the statement on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, during a visit by members of the Assembly to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) currently sheltered at the International Market IDP camp in Makurdi. 


Citizen Television had reported that the victims were displaced following the June 13 attack by armed Fulani herdsmen in Yelewata, which claimed several lives and left many injured.


The Speaker condemned the attacks and thanked Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia for his swift response in establishing the IDP camp.


 He also commended the Executive Secretary of SEMA, Sir James Iorpuu, urging transparency in relief efforts.


A minute’s silence was observed in honour of the departed victims.
