 Alleged coup: Release our daddies, detained officers’ children protest at N’Assembly Scores of children and wives of military officers detained over an alleged coup plot on Wednesday staged a peaceful protest at the National Assembly, demanding a speedy trial and the release of the accused officials. The protesters gathered at the entrance of the National Assembly complex, moving in a slow procession while clutching placards with inscriptions such as “Don’t Kill Our Daddies,” “Detention Without Trial is Injustice,” and “Six Months of Torture: Enough Is Enough.”. NYEKACHI DOUGLAS BARRED FROM CONTINUOUSLY CONTESTING FOR MISS UNIVERSE NIGERIA. (VIDEO/PHOTO).

Nyekachi Douglas, who was the top 5 finisher at Miss World 2019, has announced that for the 3rd consecutive year she has registered for Miss Universe Nigeria 🇳🇬, but the national organization Miss Universe Nigeria contacted her to decline her participation, which would not make sense under their rules.


Since her first participation in Miss Universe, Nyeka said she would try until she made it, and that this would be a perfect year after the excellent performance of Chidimma Adetshina , who finished as first runner-up at Miss Universe 2024.

 How Suspected Phone Snatchers Killed Army Lieutenant In Kaduna  An army officer identified as Lieutenant IM Abubakar has reportedly been hacked to death by a gang that specialises in phone snatching and other crimes. The deceased was killed in the Unguwan Sarki area of Kaduna metropolis during the week. A popular counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, Zagazola Makama disclosed this in a Twitter post. Makama described Abubakar as a talented officer.  He said, “Lt IM Abubakar(Isa) A Young Talented Army Officer Was Killed By Phone Snatchers on His Way Home In Unguwan Sarki, Kaduna. May his soul rest in peace.”
