 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity. Controversial singer Portable has filed a petition with police authorities against activist Verydarkman for online defamation.


Following an online feud in which VDM alleged that Portable stole a tricycle in the past and in which the singer responded that the activist once worked as a gigolo, the duo recorded studio tracks to demean each other.


Portable said in a video that he filed a defamation petition to bring VDM to order. 


“I don write petition against Verydarkman make them pick am from Abuja. If them no carry am jail am, Nigeria no go better. Na him be say Nigeria don Jaga Jaga…”
