 PRESS RELEASE NAF SUSTAINS HIGH-TEMPO AIR OPERATIONS, DESTROYS TERRORIST HIDEOUTS IN SOUTHERN TUMBUNS The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), through the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI, sustained operational pressure on terrorist elements with a precision air interdiction mission conducted on 24 April 2026 at about 1850 hours over Ali Sheriffti, a known terrorist enclave in the Southern Tumbuns. Acting on credible intelligence of terrorist activity, NAF air assets conducted a focused surveillance sweep, during which several insurgents were sighted moving along concealed tracks. The targets were trailed to structures hidden under dense foliage, confirming deliberate attempts at concealment. Following positive identification, the NAF executed a precise strike, engaging the structures with onboard munitions.  RUSSIA EXCHANGES 1,000 UKRAINIAN BODIES FOR 19 


On Thursday, Russia released the bodies of 1,000 Ukrainian soldiers killed in battle while Ukraine released the bodies of 19 slain Russian fighters.


This body exchange was part of the agreement reached between both countries in Turkey recently. Vladimir Medinsky, head of Russia’s delegation at the peace talks, confirmed the development.


“Following the agreements reached in Istanbul, another 1,000 bodies of Ukrainian soldiers were handed over to Ukraine today,” he said .


Medinsky showed proof of bagged bodies being transferred from refrigerated trucks during the exchange. Russia promised to release more than 3,000 Ukrainian bodies periodically if Ukraine meets certain conditions for a ceasefire.
