 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  Pakistani allegedly raped a 12-year-old girl and disappeared into thin air


The Burgesfort Police Detectives from the Family Violence, Child Protection, and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS) are urgently seeking community assistance to locate a Pakistani foreign national known only as Adino, whose presence is deemed critical in solving a rape case involving a 12-year-old girl at a spaza shop in Ga-Mampa Village, Mecklenburg on Thursday, 15 May 2025. 


The victim, who approached the suspect for plastics to make a ball, was raped after other customers left the shop, managed to escape, and reported the incident to her mother, who confronted the suspect before he fled the village, prompting police to open a rape case and launch an unsuccessful manhunt. 


Authorities urge the man pictured to report to the nearest police station and request anyone with information to contact Constable Mildred Manamela Mabotja at 071 355 0571.
