 Congo says it will receive third-country deportees under new deal with U.S Democratic Republic of Congo will receive third-country nationals deported from the United ‌States under a new deal with the Trump administration, the government in Kinshasa said in a statement on Sunday. The government said it will receive ⁠deportees starting in April, but ​did not say how many it had ​agreed to take. The arrangement will be paid for by the United States, with no ​cost to the Congolese government, ​the statement said, Reuters reported. Facilities have been prepared near the ‌capital ⁠Kinshasa to accommodate the deportees, it said. The United States has sent third-country deportees to several African countries including Ghana, Cameroon, ​Equatorial ​Guinea and Eswatini, ⁠drawing criticism from legal experts and rights groups.  SIX FAMILY MEMBERS LAID TO REST AFTER TRAGIC CRASH


A heart-wrenching funeral service was held for six family members who tragically lost their lives in a horrific car accident on the R42 Meyerton-Heidelberg Road earlier this week.


The victims, all from Unitaspark in Vereeniging, were laid to rest on Saturday following an emotional ceremony attended by devastated relatives, friends, and community members. The family had been returning from a funeral in KwaZulu-Natal when their vehicle, a white Ford Focus, collided with a truck at around 15:30 on Monday afternoon.


The deceased were identified as:

 • David Khehla Malindi (68)

 • Anna Malindi (61)

 • Mhlanganisi Malindi (35)

 • Phindile Malindi (33)

 • Xolani Bocibo (27)

 • Lwandle Malindi Tshabalala (3)


The loss has sent shockwaves through the local community, with many expressing their deep condolences and calling for improved road safety measures on the busy route.
