 KADIRS Warns Residents Against Fake Revenue Collectors, Introduces E-Demand Notice As Sole Payment Authorization The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) has cautioned taxpayers and residents of Kaduna State against making revenue payments without first obtaining an official E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice), warning that fraudsters may exploit outdated payment processes to defraud the public. In a public announcement issued on Thursday, KADIRS said the move forms part of its ongoing efforts to automate revenue collection and enhance transparency across the state.  The agency disclosed that manual demand notices previously used for Local Government revenue collection have been phased out and are no longer recognized. According to KADIRS, the E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice) has officially replaced the former Local Government Harmonized Demand Notice and is now the only valid document for on-the-spot taxpayer assessment through the state's Central Billing System. Senator Natasha Akpoti walks barefoot into National Assembly after convoy was denied entry


Suspended Kogi lawmaker, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, defied Senate waŕnings on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, as she arrived at the National Assembly on foot after her convoy was barred from entering the premises.


Accompanied by activist Aisha Yesufu, Oruche Ogeamara Precious (popularly known as Mamapee), Randy Peters of Electoral Reform, and other supporters, the senator was seen walking barefoot and confidently into the Assembly complex to resume her legislative duties.


The Senate had earlier cautioned Akpoti to stay away until the expiration of her suspension, warning against any attempt to forcibly return to plenary sessions.


Her dramatic entry has sparked fresh debate about her ongoing face-off with the Senate leadership.
