 New UK Prime Minister not the leader Britain needs — Kemi Badenoch UK Conservative Party leader, Kemi Badenoch, has congratulated Andy Burnham on becoming Britain’s new prime minister but said while he is “a nice man,” the country needs a leader capable of making difficult decisions rather than “a people pleaser.” In a statement released on Monday on X following Burnham’s assumption of office, Badenoch wished the new prime minister success but vowed to hold his government accountable as Leader of the Opposition. “Today, Britain has a new Prime Minister. I wish Andy Burnham every success. Because we need a Prime Minister and a Government focused on fixing the public’s priorities,” she said.  Seven(7) Killed as ‎Gunmen attack three communities in Imo state.

‎Gunmen, on Friday, invaded three communities of Umualoma, Ndiakunwanta and Ndiejezie in Arondizogu, Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo State, killing at least seven persons.

‎

‎It was gathered that the guπmen on a motorbike shot locals in Umualoma, Ndiakunwanta and Ndiejezie villages, leaving several people dead and several others critically injured.

‎

‎The people who died were in different bars drinking, some were the people selling and attending to their customers.  they also shot at people who were playing a draft game to while away time. 

‎

‎Confirming the incident in a statement on Friday, the spokesman of the State Police Command, Henry Okoye, said seven people were killed and several people were injured.
