 High stakes in Morocco showdown as Nigerian billionaire puts $500,000 on the line. Nigerian billionaire Abdul Samad Rabiu has pledged significant cash bonuses to motivate the Super Eagles ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations semi-final clash against host nation Morocco. Rabiu, Chairman of BUA Group, announced a $500,000 reward for a victory, with an additional $50,000 promised for every goal scored in the match. The pledge was disclosed in a message posted on X following Nigeria’s 2–0 victory over Algeria in Marrakech, a win that secured the Super Eagles a place in the last four of the tournament. Rabiu further revealed that he would reward the team with $1 million if Nigeria goes on to win the AFCON title, alongside a bonus of $100,000 for each goal scored in the final. Nigeria, three-time AFCON champions, will take on Morocco on Wednesday, January 14, as the tournament enters its semi-final stage.

 Spice Girls star, Mel B gets married for 3rd time as she and hairstylist Rory McPhee tie the knot at St Paul’s Cathedral.


Celebrities flocked to St Paul’s Cathedral in London for the wedding of Spice Girls star Mel B and her partner Rory McPhee , July 5,2025.


The pop singer, 50, and hairdresser McPhee, 37, were long-time friends before starting a relationship in 2018 and getting engaged in 2022, despite the musician having previously sworn off marriage for good.


The star, whose real name is Melanie Brown, wore a dramatic white gown with pearl detailing around the neckline and the sheer sleeves, with a long veil covering her hair, which had been swept into an up do.


Her Spice Girls bandmate Emma Bunton was among the first stars pictured arriving at the iconic cathedral, attending the nuptials with her husband Jade Jones and their 17-year-old son Beau.


The couple reportedly met through Mel B’s cousin, Christian Cooke, who is friends with McPhee.


This is the singer’s third marriage. She was previously married to Jimmy Gulzar from 1998 to 2000 and Stephen Belafonte from 2007 to 2018.


Mel B previously accused Belefante of abus£ and filed a restraining order against him. However, the film producer, 50, has emphatically denied those allegations.


Mel B also shares a child with actor Eddie Murphy.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
