 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  SUPER EAGLES GOALKEEPER MADUKA OKOYE BANNED FOR BETTING IN ITALY 


Super Eagles goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye, has been banned for two months for illegal sports betting in Italy.


Okoye, who joined Italian Serie A side, Udinese, from English club Watford in 2023, was found guilty of betting fraud when he was given a yellow card for wasting time in a 2024 match between Udinese and Lazio.


Authorities later found that thousands of people had betted that Okoye would be given a yellow card at 8/1 odds, with more than €120,000 generated in winnings.


A June 2025 inquiry found the 25-year-old player guilty and he was handed a two-month ban. Analysts said he could have been given a four-year ban.


The ban will take effect from August 18, 2025, when Udinese faces Carrarese in the Coppa Italia, ruling Okoye out of six Serie A matches. He will be eligible to return on October 19.
