 ‘Friend Of A Thief Is A Thief’, Defence Minister Warns Terrorist Sponsors The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (rtd), has cautioned Nigerians against aiding terrorists, insurgents, bandits, or other criminal elements, stressing that anyone who supports criminal activities will face the full weight of the law. General Musa made the warning on Saturday while speaking as the Special Guest of Honour at the Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day 2026 Golf Tournament held at the TYB Golf Resort and Country Club, Yar’Adua Barracks, Abuja.  TEACHER FOUND DEAD IN CLASSROOM AT KING'S COLLEGE, LAGOS

A 48-year-old teacher at King’s College, Lagos, Mr. Ezekiel Akano was found dead under mysterious circumstances on Saturday evening inside one of the school’s classrooms.


According to police sources, the school’s Vice Principal, Mr. Oguniyi Ayodele reported the incident to the Lagos State Police Command at approximately 7:40 p.m. He stated that he had been alerted to the discovery of Mr. Akano’s lifeless body within the school premises is located at No. 3 Catholic Mission Street, Lagos Island.


In response, a team of detectives was immediately deployed to the scene. The area was cordoned off, and investigators conducted a thorough examination. Photographs were taken, and preliminary inspection revealed no visible signs of violence on the body.


Mr. Akano, a native of Oyo State, was later transported to the Lagos Island Hospital, Odan, where a medical officer confirmed him dead on arrival. His remains have since been deposited in the hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.


The police have launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Authorities assured the public that all necessary measures are being taken to uncover the cause of the teacher’s sudden death.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity.
