 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  TRAGIC ACCIDENT CLAIMS 16 LIVES ALONG CALABAR-ITU ROAD


5th July, 2025       


A tragic accident has claimed 16 lives along the Calabar-Itu Road.


The accident which occurred on Friday, 4th July, 2025 happened when on a forty-foot container veered off its lane and capsized onto a 16 seater bus traveling to Calabar.


Eyewitnesses said the incident was caused as a result of the deplorable condition of the road which has been a longstanding issue for commuters.


Commuters and community members have expressed outrage over the hazardous state of the federal road and called for immediate government intervention to avert futher loss of life.


At the time of this report, their bodies have been deposited at a nearby morgue.
