 ANAMBRA POLICE COMMAND RECEIVES AND AUGMENTS IGP’S MONITORING UNIT OPERATIVES ON ENFORCEMENT OF POLICE PERSONNEL WITHDRAWAL FROM VIP ESCORT DUTIES IN THE STATE The Anambra State Police Command today 8th December 2025 formally received operatives of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP)’s Monitoring Unit deployed to the state to ensure full implementation of the IGP’s directive on the withdrawal of police personnel from VIP escort and guard duties. The Commissioner of Police CP Ikioye Orutugu fwc mnips PhD reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to supporting the IGP’s reform efforts targeted at enhancing professionalism, discipline, and optimal deployment of police manpower nationwide. The CP noted that the withdrawal of these officers will help to strengthen public policing, improve response capacity, and ensure that more personnel are available for core policing duties across the state. TWO MEN CHARGED AFTER ALLEGED KNIFE ATTACK ON JUVENILES AT TROY FAIR IN PENNSYLVANIA. (PHOTO).

 Two men charged after alleged knife attack on juveniles at Troy Fair in Pennsylvania 

Two men have been charged with felonies after allegedly attacking three juveniles with knives at the Troy Fair on Friday. David Albarran, 34, from Elmira, and Elijah Putnam, 18, from Athens, face first-degree felony charges of aggravated assault and conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, along with misdemeanor simple assault charges.

One of the victims sustained a serious facial laceration, while the other two did not suffer significant injuries. According to police reports, the two uninjured victims said Albarran threatened them with a red curved knife, while Putnam allegedly attacked the injured victim, causing the facial wound. The victim was taken to Troy Hospital for medical treatment. Both suspects denied possessing knives, and police did not find any weapons at the scene. Albarran and Putnam were held at Bradford County Jail on $150,000 bail.
