 Anambra Govt Warns Against Purchase of Encroached Land at Trans-Nkissi By MaryAnn Chukwuma The Anambra State Ministry of Lands has warned members of the public against purchasing plots at TransNkissi Phase 1, behind the Federal Government Girls College, Onitsha, from persons claiming ownership on behalf of the Umuosodi family of Onitsha. The warning was contained in a public notice dated Sept. 28, 2026, with Ref. No. PS/ML/2026/CR/VOL.II/028 and signed by the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Nkeiru Mokwe, for the Commissioner. According to the notice, the Ministry became aware that persons alleged to be members of the Umuosodi family had invaded and commenced clearing portions of the land with the intention of selling them to unsuspecting members of the public. It said compensatory plots had been allocated to the family and other families in Onitsha before the current administration.  Use the Pedestrian Bridge or Face Arrest : FRSC Warns Road Users in Anambra.


The Anambra State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has launched a sensitization campaign at the popular Unizik Junction, Awka, to educate road users on the importance of using the pedestrian bridge rather than risking their lives by crossing the busy highway.


During the exercise, FRSC officers distributed flyers and sensitized commuters on the dangers of crossing the expressway without using the bridge, even as individuals caught crossing the road illegally were cautioned and advised to prioritize their safety.


The Anambra state commander of FRSC Mrs. Joyce Alexander ably represented by her Deputy Christi Okonkwo disclosed plans to collaborate with sister agencies to enforce compliance, and warned that following the awareness campaign, anyone found crossing the highway without using the bridge would be arrested and prosecuted.


In addition, she assured that the command will work with Operation Clean and Healthy  Anambra (OCHA Brigade) and the Police to clear traders who have turned the bridge into a makeshift market, making pedestrian movement difficult

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
