 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES TEAM NIGERIA ON OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE AT THE COMMONWEALTH GAMES IN GLASGOW ​President Bola Tinubu congratulates Team Nigeria on their remarkable performance at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland. The ​President celebrates the athletes for demonstrating the resilience, determination, discipline, and excellence that define the Nigerian spirit.  Abia State Police Arrest Suspect, Recover Stolen Toyota Highlander SUV


The Abia State Police Command has arrested Emeka Chukwuma, a suspect from Umuchu, Aguata Local Government Area, Anambra State, and recovered a stolen Toyota Highlander SUV with registration number BBR667RM.


In a statement issued late Thursday by DSP Maureen Chinaka, the Police Public Relations Officer, on behalf of Commissioner of Police Danladi Isa, the command revealed that the vehicle was reported stolen in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, in 2022. Acting on credible intelligence, operatives of the Scorpion Squad recovered the SUV on August 22, 2025, and apprehended Chukwuma in connection with the crime.


The police have contacted the complainant to verify the vehicle’s ownership and authenticity. Investigations are ongoing to uncover further details surrounding the incident.
