A Palestinian journalist that lived in Gaza and wrote for Al-Jazeera was allegedly discovered to host three Israeli hostages with his family in his house.
Abdallah Aljamal, who also worked as a spokesman for the Hamas-run labour ministry, was killed when Special Forces soldiers stormed his home in central Gaza and rescued hostages, Israeli Defence Forces said.
Aljamal was allegedly killed when IDF Commandos stormed his home in Nuseirat in the heart of Gaza to rescue the hostages. The rescued hostages are Almog Meir Jan, 21, Andri Kozlov, 27, and Shlomi Ziv, 41. Also rescued was Noa Argamani, a 26-year-old Israeli woman.
Before his death, Aljamal also contributed to the Palestine Chronicle news outlet, where he wrote numerous stories covering the deaths of Palestinians in Gaza during Israel’s offensive. The Palestine Chronicle is based in Washington, but Aljamal wrote from inside Gaza.
