 Rosatom Discussing Nuclear Projects With Niger & Ethiopia "Rosatom is open to discussing possible forms of cooperation and is prepared to offer modern, reliable, and safe technologies," the Russian state corporation stated, Sputnik reported. Cooperation between the parties is currently focused on establishing working mechanisms and defining project parameters, with decisions being taken gradually in line with the host country’s priorities and international safety standards, Rosatom said. Rosatom is in dialogue with more than 20 African countries on such areas as the construction of large and small nuclear power plants, nuclear science and technology centers, and the development of uranium deposits.

 AUTHORITIES SUSPEND LICENCES OF TWO PILOTS FOR RECKLESSNESS 


The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has suspended the licences of two pilots for operational recklessness.


NCAA said the licences of Captain Oluranti Ogoyi and his co-pilot, First officer Ivan Oloba are suspended with immediate effect on Tuesday. 


Both pilots work with ValueJet at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.


The aviation authority said both pilots were guilty of breaching aviation safety protocols by disregarding mandatory pre-departure clearance protocols and endangering airport personnel and air travellers at the facility.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
