So Linus Williams (Blord) has been released from Kuje prison after fulfilling his bail conditions, finally, freedom after a few weeks in custody. However, here’s the current position of his case:  He is still expected to show up and stand his trial.  If he fails to appear in court even for one day, his bail can be revoked and a bench warrant may be issued against him, meaning a return to Kuje. If the prosecution cannot prove the charges against him, he will be discharged and acquitted. If the prosecution proves the charges, he may be sentenced and sent back to Kuje. I think he should seek a peaceful resolution to the case. Congrats to him on his freedom for now.

BAUCHI GOV APPOINTS CHINESE BUSINESSMAN AS ECONOMIC ADVISER

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has appointed a Chinese national, Li Zhensheng, as economic adviser to the state government.

Zhensheng is the Chairman of the China Global Promotion Cooperation Research Centre, an agency that just signed a MoU with Bauchi State for economic development.

Governor Mohammed said the partnership with CGPCRC and Zhensheng's appointment is to make Bauchi an international hub of accelerated investment, infrastructure development, and bilateral collaboration across agriculture, education, healthcare, manufacturing, mining, oil and gas, and trade sectors.

“As part of the deal, a Bauchi State Representative Office will be established in China to oversee project implementation and ensure timely delivery,” he said. "This agreement is not just about infrastructure—it’s about transforming lives. We are opening Bauchi to the world.”
