 LASG REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO END TUBERCULOSIS IN COMMUNITIES IN LAGOS STATE The Lagos State Government on Tuesday reaffirmed its commitment to completely eradicate Tuberculosis (TB) at the grassroots level across the metropolis.  The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District III, Dr. Monsurat Adeleke made this known during a courtesy visit by the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria team to her Ikoyi office, emphasising the present administration's commitment to continually prioritise health security across the state. She said the Lagos State First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu, is a Tuberculosis (TB) champion with the mandate of ending TB now and the continuous expansion of TB scale-up diagnostic centres.  According to her, “The First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu is a TB champion.  BENUE: TRAGEDY STRUCK AGAIN IN GUMA LGA AS SUSPECTED FULANI HERDSMEN ATTACKS NGBAN VILLAGE 



Moments ago, the Council Chairman of Guma and Benue ALGON Chairman, Hon. Maurice Orwough visited the scene where fulani herdsmen kïllǝd two persons and tortured a lady who they kïdnæppǝd. 


The unfortunate scene happened today at Ngban, a settlement in between Daudu and Yelewata. The two vïctïms of of the sad incident are: Terkimbir Iorhen Igbawua and Mlumun Igbawua.


Hon. Orwough who rushed to the scene ordered security operatives to enforce full operations. He also took the tœrtured lady who regained freedom from her abductors to the hospital and she has been receiving treatment. 


The council chairman also directed the Local Government Security  Secretary to release funds for the burial of the victims slated for tomorrow. 


He assured the people that in no distance time, the crises would be a thing of the past, reiterated his promise to prioritize the security and safety of the people.


Hon. Orwough was accompanied to the scene by the Council Chairman of Ukum; Hon. Jonathan Modi, Council Chairman of Buruku; Hon. Raymond Zege and PSA to Benue Governor on Protocol and Wardrobe; Hon. Emmanuel Iorbee.
