 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  Fugitive wanted for wife’s murder in California surrenders in Peru 

A Southern California man accused of killing his wife and fleeing to Peru with their children surrendered to authorities Wednesday in Lima, Peru. Jossimar Cabrera Cornejo, 36, turned himself in at Interpol headquarters and is now being held in preventive detention.

Cabrera is wanted on one count of murder in the Aug. 10 death of his 33-year-old wife, Sheylla Cabrera, with authorities alleging he used a knife as a deadly weapon. Peruvian police released a video showing him handcuffed, wearing a shirt bearing the Interpol insignia. Extradition to the United States is expected to take several months, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Their three children were located in Peru on Aug. 16 and placed into protective custody. District Attorney Nathan Hochman described the allegations as “horrific” and emphasized that domestic violence devastates communities and families. Authorities say Cabrera killed his wife at their Lancaster home, north of Los Angeles, before fleeing with the children. Sheylla Cabrera had been reported missing on Aug. 12, and her body was discovered the following day in Angeles National Forest. Security footage shows Cabrera dragging what officials described as “a large object in a large piece of material” from their apartment complex—the same type of material in which Sheylla Cabrera’s body was later found.
