 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. Gospel musician and evangelist Akwasi Nyarko has taken to social media with a heartbreaking plea, claiming he’s been neglected after publicly supporting President John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).


In the emotional video circulating online, Akwasi Nyarko begged for support for himself and his family. 


“President Mahama, it looks like you've forgotten me. I composed a campaign song for you. 


"Right now, I’m hungry—I haven’t eaten in three days. My child has dropped out of school because I can’t pay the fees,” he said.


According to him, ever since he openly backed the NDC, life has taken a turn for the worse. 


He claims his music career suffered due to political backlash, and he's now struggling just to survive.


The gospel artiste’s appeal has drawn mixed reactions online.
