The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. Grammy-nominated singer Davido has claimed he spent a whopping sum of $3.7 million on his white wedding to Chioma Rowland. 

In the now-viral video, Davido said:“I spent $3.7m cash, so we should know what we are doing here.”

The couple, who had their traditional wedding in Lagos in June 2024, will be tying the knot in a lavish ceremony in Miami. 

During their pre-wedding party, Davido casually mentioned the enormous sum spent on the event, which reflected their opulent lifestyle.

The couple’s wedding celebration has been making waves, with various aspects of their extravagant spending gaining attention.
