 El-Rufai to remain in custody as court adjourns bail application to April 14 Justice Rilwanu Aikawa of a Federal High Court in Kaduna has adjourned the hearing of the bail application filed by former Kaduna State governor, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, to April 14th. The bail application of the former governor came up before the court today. April 1. The court adjourned the case after listening to arguments from both the defence and prosecution  El-Rufai was arraigned by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) on a 10-count charge bordering on alleged conversion of public property and money laundering. He pleaded not guilty to all the charges. The court ordered that he remain in ICPC custody pending the hearing of his bail application on the fixed date. The former governor arrived at the court premises around 9:00 a.m. in a black Hilux vehicle, accompanied by DSS officials.

 IRAN HANGS SCIENTIST SPYING FOR ISRAEL


A nuclear scientist accused of espionage for Israel was executed by hanging on Tuesday. Roozbeh Vadi worked at the Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran and was alleged to have fed information to Israel.


According to government sources, Vadi was recruited online by Mossad and met with the Israeli intelligence service a few times, ultimately feeding them classified data that led to Israeli assassination of another Iranian nuclear scientist.


Following the 12-Day War in which Israel devastated Iran with hundreds of airstrikes, the Islamic nation has continued to crack down on citizens suspected of spying for Israel.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
