 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  Kaduna Govt Dismisses Reports On Reinstating 5-Day School Week, Says Decision Still Pending


The Kaduna State Ministry of Education has refuted media claims that the government has reinstated the five-day school week system.


Commissioner for Education, Professor Abubakar Sani Sambo, clarified in an interview with journalists in Kaduna that the government has not yet adopted the system, stressing that it remains only a proposal under review with stakeholders.


He explained that his earlier comments were misinterpreted by sections of the media and urged the public to disregard such reports.


“The State Government has not made any decision on reintroducing the five-day school week,” Professor Sambo stated.


He further appealed to journalists to ensure accuracy in their reporting so as not to mislead the public or create unnecessary tension.
