 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results.  Kelly Clarkson postpones Vegas residency after ex-husband falls ill

Kelly Clarkson has announced she is postponing her Las Vegas residency again due to her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock’s illness.

On Wednesday night, Clarkson shared on Instagram, “While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them.” She did not specify the nature of Blackstock’s illness.

Clarkson and Blackstock were married from 2013 until their divorce in 2022. They share two children, River, 10, and Remington, 8.

In her post, Kelly said she is canceling the remaining August concert dates and apologized to fans who had purchased tickets, expressing gratitude for their “grace, kindness, and understanding.”

This marks the second time Clarkson has delayed her residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace since it began on July 11. Earlier, she canceled her first two shows in early July due to vocal strain from rehearsals.
