 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment.  We are deeply saddened to report the tragic passing of Kseniya Alexandrova, a former Miss Universe contestant and Vice-Miss Russia 2017, at the young age of 30. Alexandrova died on August 15th from severe head injuries sustained in a devastating car accident on July 5th. 


Reports indicate that an elk crashed through the windshield of the car she was in, causing her to fall into a coma. Her modeling agency confirmed her passing after she remained in a comatose state. This sudden and heartbreaking loss has sent shockwaves through the pageant and entertainment communities. Our thoughts are with her husband, family, and friends during this profound time of grief.
