 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment.  KWARA UNIVERSITY HANDS OVER ELECTRIC VEHICLES TO STATE GOVT

The Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete has handed over two vehicles which were converted from petroleum engine to electric, to the Kwara State Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Technology, Leadership News reports. 


Presenting the vehicles on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, the Chairman of KWASU Hold-co, Prof. Kenneth Adeyemi described the initiative as a success story that would contribute to sustainable environments while adding economic value to the society.


He expressed gratitude to the ministry for trusting KWASU with the project and assured that the remaining vehicles would be ready for presentation by September 2025.
