Lady shares past encounter with Ibom Air flight attendant at the centre of viral passenger incident

A Nigerian lady has recounted her experience with the Ibom Air flight attendant currently at the centre of a viral altercation with a passenger.

She claimed her own incident took place in November 2024 on a Lagos–Accra flight. According to her, the attendant spoke rudely to several passengers before ordering a man to switch off his phone “immediately.” The passenger reportedly questioned her tone but eventually complied.

The woman alleged that the attendant later informed the pilot, prompting the aircraft to turn back on the taxiway due to what was described as a “threat” on board. The man was escorted off the plane by security officials before the flight resumed.

She further described the attendant as “vindictive,” saying she continued to speak harshly and issue warnings to passengers for the remainder of the trip.
