Lil Nas X will remain in custody through the weekend following his arrest early Thursday morning in Studio City, Los Angeles, after being seen wandering the streets nearly naked and appearing disoriented. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that the rapper, whose real name is Montero Hill, will stay in jail until Monday under Penal Code 69(a) for resisting or obstructing an officer. The LAPD said he must appear before a judge before being released.

Hill is being held at Valley Jail in Van Nuys. Earlier Thursday, he was spotted walking along Ventura Boulevard wearing only underwear and white cowboy boots. According to authorities, he charged at officers and was taken into custody before being transported to a local hospital for a possible overdose. Lil Nas X has faced ongoing health challenges this year, including partial facial paralysis reported in April and a canceled performance at the West Hollywood Outloud Pride festival in May due to similar mental health concerns.
