 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms.  Lionel Richie's Beverly Hills residence targeted in burglary

Lionel Richie’s Beverly Hills home was the target of a burglary early Friday morning. Beverly Hills police responded to a call shortly after midnight, reporting a residential break-in in the 90210 neighborhood, where the singer-songwriter owns a property.

Authorities arrested a man named Michael John Bond on suspicion of residential burglary, though the District Attorney has not yet filed formal charges. Investigators are reviewing security footage and other evidence from the scene. Richie was reportedly at home during the incident, but the intruder fled after triggering the property’s security alarm and did not take any items. This incident adds Richie to a growing list of celebrities whose homes have been targeted by thieves this summer, including Brad Pitt, Teddi Mellencamp, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Elizabeth Chambers, and Ashlee Simpson with Evan Ross.
