 COURT RESTRAINS RESIDENT DOCTORS FROM EMBARKING ON STRIKE  The national industrial court Abuja division has restrained all members and agents of the national association of resident doctors from calling, directing, organizing, participating in, and embarking upon any form of industrial action.  Justice Emmanuel Danjuma Subilim gave the order in an interim injunction filed by the federal government through the office of the attorney general of the federation and minister of justice.  The court temporally barred members of the association from embarking on any form of strike, work stoppages, go-slows, picketing, or any other form of industrial protest or disruption. The association is equally restrained from taking steps preparatory to any form of industrial action from the 12th day of january, 2026.  Man arrested for using eternal flame at Tomb of Unknown Soldier to light cigarette

A man accused of desecrating a World War I memorial in Paris is facing the loss of his residency status and imminent deportation from France, officials announced Wednesday.

The individual reportedly used the eternal flame at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, located beneath the Arc de Triomphe and dedicated to fallen soldiers, to light a cigarette.

Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau confirmed that the man was taken into custody Tuesday evening and admitted to the act. A video widely shared on social media shows the man leaning over the flame with a cigarette in hand. Authorities identified him as a 47-year-old Moroccan national.

Patricia Mirallès, the minister for veterans and remembrance, condemned the act as a grave disrespect, stating on social media that the flame “doesn’t light cigarettes: it burns for the sacrifice of millions of our soldiers.”

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
