 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment.  MAN CUTS OFF HIS MANHOOD OVER FAILED MARRIAGE


A man identified as Modu Isa in Bama, Borno State, has reportedly cut off his manhood because his estranged wife refused to get back with him.


Isa, 50, tried to take his own life by stabbing himself severally in the tummy before cutting into his manhood. He was rushed to the General Hospital where doctors performed emergency surgery to save his life.


Bornu State residents and people from other places reacted differently to the incident - from encouraging words to bizarre responses.


“This is not a suicide attempt; this is a Borno comedy show," a man said. "Only here can a man lose his manhood on Friday and get it back on Sunday.”.
