 France records first Ebola case in doctor returning from DR Congo France confirmed its first imported Ebola case after a humanitarian doctor returned from a mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Health Ministry said Wednesday, Anadolu Agency reported. The patient, who had returned from an area where the virus is circulating in Congo, was immediately admitted to a specialised healthcare facility and is in stable condition, the ministry said in a statement. “All precautionary measures, including the patient's isolation, were taken upon his arrival in the country,” it added, saying the transfer to hospital was carried out under secure conditions to prevent any risk of contamination. French health authorities said a full epidemiological investigation is underway to identify people who may have been in contact with the patient.  Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi welcome first child through adoption

Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi announced Thursday that they have welcomed their first child, a daughter, through adoption this summer.

The couple shared on social media, “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy,” offering no additional details. Brown, 21, and Bongiovi, 23, were married in a private ceremony in May 2024. Representatives for both actors did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Brown became widely known for her role as Eleven in the Duffer brothers’ sci-fi series Stranger Things, which concludes with its fifth season airing this November and December after nine years of production. She has also starred in the Netflix Enola Holmes films, appeared in a Godzilla movie, and released a romance novel in 2023.

Bongiovi, the son of rock legend Jon Bon Jovi, launched his acting career with the film Rockbottom, which premiered last year. Brown has frequently highlighted the importance of family, noting during the 2024 premiere of her Netflix film Damsel that having Bongiovi and his parents present meant a great deal to her.

The couple resides in Georgia, where Brown has spoken about enjoying life on a farm and stepping back from social media, while also promoting her 2025 Netflix project, The Electric State.
