 New Head of Service Urges Anambra Civil Servants to Embrace Efficiency and Accountability ‎ ‎By Chizoba Njaka  ‎ ‎The newly appointed Head of Service in Anambra State, Ngozi Anuli Iwouno, has called on civil servants to shift towards efficiency and accountability, promising improvements in welfare.  ‎ ‎Addressing staff at the Jerome Udoji Secretariat Complex in Awka, Iwouno outlined her vision for a professional, merit-based, and citizen-centered service that aligns with Governor Chukwuma Soludo's goals. ‎ ‎Iwouno emphasized that her mission is not just a statement, but a call to action, demanding sincerity and commitment from all workers.  Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi welcome first child through adoption

Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi announced Thursday that they have welcomed their first child, a daughter, through adoption this summer.

The couple shared on social media, “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy,” offering no additional details. Brown, 21, and Bongiovi, 23, were married in a private ceremony in May 2024. Representatives for both actors did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Brown became widely known for her role as Eleven in the Duffer brothers’ sci-fi series Stranger Things, which concludes with its fifth season airing this November and December after nine years of production. She has also starred in the Netflix Enola Holmes films, appeared in a Godzilla movie, and released a romance novel in 2023.

Bongiovi, the son of rock legend Jon Bon Jovi, launched his acting career with the film Rockbottom, which premiered last year. Brown has frequently highlighted the importance of family, noting during the 2024 premiere of her Netflix film Damsel that having Bongiovi and his parents present meant a great deal to her.

The couple resides in Georgia, where Brown has spoken about enjoying life on a farm and stepping back from social media, while also promoting her 2025 Netflix project, The Electric State.

 How Suspected Phone Snatchers Killed Army Lieutenant In Kaduna  An army officer identified as Lieutenant IM Abubakar has reportedly been hacked to death by a gang that specialises in phone snatching and other crimes. The deceased was killed in the Unguwan Sarki area of Kaduna metropolis during the week. A popular counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, Zagazola Makama disclosed this in a Twitter post. Makama described Abubakar as a talented officer.  He said, “Lt IM Abubakar(Isa) A Young Talented Army Officer Was Killed By Phone Snatchers on His Way Home In Unguwan Sarki, Kaduna. May his soul rest in peace.”
