 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment.  Mob Justice Incident in Makhuva Leads to Arrests


A case of mob justice has gone wrong at Khanghela Section in Makhuva village, outside Giyani.


On Thursday, a young man from the area was allegedly assaulted by members of the local Police Forum after he reportedly used vulgar words while under the influence of alcohol.


Following the incident, police today arrested the wife of the forum’s chairperson, her child, and a former member of the forum after the victim opened a case of assault. The child was later released as he is a minor.


The suspects are expected to appear in court soon.
